Screening a deal before the money moves

A credit team is reviewing a purchase-order financing or invoice-factoring deal. The file looks complete — but completeness is not authenticity. Before disbursement the team needs to know the buyer is real, the borrower’s evidence trail holds together, the parties have the capacity to perform, and the same receivable is not already sitting on someone else’s book. AssureSignal assembles that as one evidence-linked pack, with every signal tiered by how strongly it stands up.

What the credit team needs before commitment

Three parties, one deal. Each check below arrives as evidence with a stated tier and source status — material a reviewer can question, accept or challenge.

Buyer authenticity

The buyer named on the PO or invoice, checked as a live counterparty — registration status, GST/MCA/Udyam context and the trade relationship with the borrower, where evidence exists.

The borrower's evidence trail

PO, invoice, IRN, e-way, buyer-acceptance and movement evidence assembled where available — a receivable is only as strong as the chain of documents behind it.

Capacity to perform

Borrower and subcontractor capacity signals with concentration prompts — an order the borrower cannot fulfil is a risk no document check on its own will surface.

Duplicate presentation & prior charge

Conflict checks on the deal itself: signals that the same receivable has been presented elsewhere, or that a prior charge already sits on the assets — shown for reviewer reconciliation.

Related parties & inconsistencies

Related-party and cross-document inconsistency signals, flagged plainly for the reviewer rather than silently resolved.

Evidence tiered by strength

Every signal is labelled by how strongly it is evidenced — registry-verified, issuer-confirmed or self-declared — and by whether its source was available for this case. Unknown is reported as unknown, never as a pass.

How it runs

1.

Request the pack

Your team requests a pack on the deal — PO financing or invoice factoring — and the checks run across buyer, borrower and the documents presented, drawing on the sources available for that case.

2.

Read the tiers

Findings arrive evidence-linked and labelled: what is registry-verified, what is issuer-confirmed, what is only self-declared, and which sources could not be reached. Nothing is blended into a single score that hides its provenance.

3.

Question, challenge, resolve

The pack is built for normal credit-ops behaviour — a weak tier can go back to the borrower for stronger evidence, a conflict signal can be reconciled with the buyer, before any commitment is made.

4.

Decide — on your side of the line

The credit decision is yours throughout. The pack informs the reviewer; it never approves, prices or declines, and an unresolved signal is a reason to ask, not an instruction to walk.

Put a pack in front of your credit team

See the PO financing workflow end to end, read what experienced desks check before commitment, or walk through a sample pack against your own review checklist.

Signals and evidence only. AssureSignal informs a lender’s review; AssureLocker does not lend, approve, reject, price, sanction, disburse or hold funds. Every credit decision stays with the lender.

AssureLocker is a verification & orchestration platform — not a lender. It supplies verified evidence and risk signals checked against authoritative sources (GSTN, MCA21, EPFO, CERSAI, Account Aggregator) and orchestrates the assessment room. It does not lend, hold or move funds, operate escrow, set advance rates, or make the credit decision — the lender's system of record makes that decision and disburses. AssureLocker Pvt Ltd. (inc. in progress), the provider of AssureLocker, operates strictly as a Technology Service Provider. Every signal is labelled by evidence tier — registry-verified, lender-side, issuer-confirmed, document-signed or self-declared (missing where unresolved); some integrations are in sandbox, lender-side or pilot, and records are written to an immutable registry (hashes only — never raw PII). Signals and figures are point-in-time and consent-bound; confidential to the named parties.
